The painting starts out as a simple pencil drawing.
A transparent layer of frisket film is applied and the background is cut out with an
x-acto knife then removed. At this point the first of the background colors is tested over
the wing. |

A closer view reveals more of the detailed pencil
work beneath the transparent frisket film. |

More background colors are mixed then sprayed with
the airbrush. |

The transparent frisket film protects the areas
from overspray. At this point, the frisket is removed from the foreground, revealing the
white of the board below. |
