1812 Plantation in Blair, SC:

Front of Blair Plantation

We recently purchased a plantation home built by Col. Thomas Lyles in 1812, and fully restored by his descendant, John Collins over a 20+ year period. John Collins is to be praised for saving this house from the brink of ruin. The house is situated on a knoll on 15 acres in Blair, SC. The 20 mile view across the rolling hills of the Sumter National Forest from upstairs is amazing. For a history of the plantation click here.

Blair, SC is located on the Broad River in Fairfield County, about 40 miles north of Columbia, and about 50 mile south of Charlotte, NC. It was named after my ancestors whe settled there in the late 1700's
