The sister to the sold out "The Last Hot Flight" print, "The Final Ascent" is one of two lithographs commemorating the record setting final flight of Blackbird # 972 on March 6, 1990. Originally available as a special limited edition of 350, each individually signed by the last flight crew, Lt. Col, Ed Yeilding and the late Lt. Col. J. T. Vida. The print signed by the crew of the historic flight is sold out and is available only on the secondary market. There are only a  few remaining open edition prints signed by the artist.

"Final Ascent" is also available as a Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay'), which refers to a 7-color print which utilizes the latest in digital technology to reproduce art with breathtaking accuracy. This is the largest and most expensive version of our print line, usually measuring an overall 42" inches wide, and printed on museum quality Hahnemuhle paper for $495. A near perfect replica of the original painting, Giclée prints are limited to only 50 examples of each image, and are created for the most discriminating collectors.
